Malachite Press Anthologies

Malachite Press anthologies are valuable pieces of marketing material for ANGEL THERAPY PRACTITIONERS®, Angel Intuitives, and other highly trained spiritual teachers and experts who are committed to raising consciousness across the globe.

An anthology is a collection of stories, wisdom, and anecdotes from approximately twenty different authors (Think Chicken Soup for the Soul, only with angels and fairies!) Each author writes a chapter (2,500 to 3,000 words) about something that they're guided to share, as well as a bio of up to 250 words that features the author's specialty, services, and contact information.

Anthology authors are officially published authors and are entitled to market themselves as such.  Because there are anthology authors across the globe, our authors' wisdom, experiences—and most importantly, their names—are spread around the world. Once the book is published, authors can buy their book at a 40 percent discount and then sell their books at their workshops, psychic or health faires, and other private venues. They also receive a PDF of their finished chapter that they can reprint as often as they want.

Upcoming Anthologies
Malachite Press has three anthologies in the works:

Angel on My Shoulder II —A collection of angelic wisdom, tips, and stories

Otherworld: Real-life Fairy Tales Arom Across the Globe
—This anthology covers all things fairy, including techniques for working with the fairy realm and experiences that authors have had with the fey.

And finally, a yet-to-be-titled anthology featuring angel and fairy stories specifically for 'tweens—kids ages nine through 13.

Each of these anthologies is about half-way full, and they will most likely fill up quickly once our first anthology is released on International Angel Day, so to reserve your space today!

Frequently Asked Questions

How much does it cost to participate in an anthology?
Authors pay $1,000 to have a chapter published in a Malachite Press anthology. This fee includes all editing, typesetting, proofreading, printing, and publishing costs. Anthology authors in the contiguous United States will receive a case of books—typically between twenty and twenty-four books—delivered to their home or office. Anthology authors living in Hawaii, Alaska, or abroad will  also receive a free case of books, but they will need to pay an additional fee for shipping; international authors may need to pay duty fees on their books, as well.

Who retains copyright for the book?
The author retains copyright for his or her chapter, and Malachite Press retains the copyright for the complete work.

Does Malachite Press pay royalties to anthology authors?
No. Anthology authors make money by selling their books at their private venues and through the referrals generated as a result of their chapters.

Who puts the books in bookstores?
Because most bookstores demand a discount of 40 percent or more, it's not practical for authors to provide most bookstores with books. In some cases, authors may be able to negotiate a special split with smaller, local bookstores. In these cases, if the authors want to sell their books to the bookstores and split profits with them, that's fine. But most of the time, Malachite Press will be the distributor and will deal with bookstores directly.

Can I channel the material for my chapter?
Malachite Press is committed to maintaining the quality and integrity of messages channeled from Spirit. However, because the quality of channeled material varies so greatly, channeled chapters must be submitted to Malachite Press editors for approval before the contract for the anthology is signed. If the chapter does not meet anthology standards, it cannot be included.

Can I participate in more than one anthology?
Absolutely! Just let us know what anthologies you are interested in writing for, so we can save your space by calling (800) 798-9270 or e-mailing info@malachitepress.com!
